Dr. Laura A. Austin received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Ouachita Baptist University in 2000. Then obtained a Doctor of Optometry degree from Illinois College of Optometry in 2006 before returning to her home state of Arkansas. Launching Austin Vision Care in 2006, she is determined to provide personal care and attention to patients in the northwest Arkansas area and beyond. She is part of the American Optometric Association, Arkansas Optometric Association and is an Arkansas Board Certified Optometric Physician. While maintaining care in the community, she volunteers in the Community Clinic at St. Francis House of Springdale where she provides no-cost eye care to those in need. Also as an InfantSEE provider, she preforms no-cost eye examinations to children under one year old which detects sight-threatening conditions in infants. She has been married for 9 years and has a little girl. With her spare time, she enjoys crafting, baking, and spending time with her family. She also loves living in her home state of Arkansas!
Kristy, an optometric technician, has been with Austin Vision Care since the opening in 2006. She is a certified paraoptometric assistant with Arkansas and American Optometric Assoiciations and has recently taken the National Contact Lens Examination for contact lens certification. Kristy is a thorough technician with warm smiles and professional attitude. She can help with any situation a patient calls into the office concerning. Patricia, a optometric technician, recently started working at Austin Vision Care this last summer and has provided great support for our patients. She has created a better office flow for patients over this time also. Patricia can answer questions patients having concerning insurances, office hours and appointment scheduling, and she also speaking fluent spanish. SE HABLA ESPANOL
