Dr. Bywater has been in practice since 1989 and is a member of the Hudson Valley Optometric Society. Previously he was President of the Orange County Optometric Society. He is a Senior Examiner for the National Board in Optometry for contact lenses and ocular disease. Dr. Bywater has been a TLC Laser Vision Affiliate since 1995 and had laser vision correction in 1996. He provides vision and eye health exams at several Hudson Valley nursing homes. Dr. Bywater volunteers for Special Olympics to provide eye exams and sport goggles to the athletes.
