Frequently Asked Questions
Has Dr. Alig always been at this location?
No. Prior to opening his independent office and dispensary in 2002, Dr. Alig had offices in the Ft. Henry and Johnson City malls for more than 10 years.
How quickly can you do an emergency repair or replacement of my eyeglasses?
We stock a wide range of single vision lenses that can be processed within a few minutes of your selection. Likewise, many repairs can be done while you wait. We are usually able to accommodate an un-scheduled eye examination, as well, in the event you need a new prescription before purchasing lenses.
What forms of payment are accepted by your website and is my information secure?
We accept Visa and Mastercard for orders placed strictly on our website. Each transaction is handled through our secure 128 bit encrypted server.
What insurance plans are accepted in the office and for what services?
We gladly accept/file most major insurances and routine vision plans for examination services, as well as eyewear and contact lenses (otherwise known as "materials"). Please inform us, in advance, of any benefits you may be eligible to use as many require pre-authorization. BCBS, VSP, Spectera, EyeMed, Davis Vision, and UHC are some of the most commonly used plans in our region. We encourage you to contact your provider for more information prior to your visit. Please note that online contact lens orders cannot be filed with insurances at checkout. Orders requiring insurance filing must be placed in the office itself, not via the website.
What is the delivery time for my contact lens shipment after placing my order online?
In stock orders placed before 5 p.m. Eastern Standard Time Monday thru Friday will ship same day. We offer several different delivery options to best suit your needs.
What lab is used to make my glasses when I place an order in your office?
We utilize a variety of quality lab partners across the country and select the best one for your specific needs. Our on-going relationships with trusted manufactureres ensures the best service and products are available to you. Occasionally, an insurance plan requires the use of it's own lab when processing your claim and order.
