The Jonesborough Eye Clinic has been at its current location since 2004. Dr. Ben Parrish founded the clinic nearly a decade ago, and we are excited to announce the addition of two new doctors, both graduates of the prestigious Southern College of Optometry, Dr. Patrick D. Shorter and Dr. Carla S. Shorter.

The doctors recently moved to Jonesborough from the Jacksonville, FL area. In December of 2004 they welcomed their first child into the world, and are anxiously awaiting the arrival of their second child in May of 2007.
They assumed ownership of the Jonesborough Eye Clinic from Dr. Ben Parrish in June 2005, and since have been putting in countless hours upgrading the office, equipment, and dispensary to ensure that the residents of Jonesborough, TN and the surrounding areas receive the best care possible. They are very excited about providing the eye care services for the Jonesborough community, and becoming active in local organizations and events.
Most recently, Dr. Patrick Shorter served as the Clinical Director for both the Tricities and Oak Ridge locations of TLC Laser Vision. As such, we feel that we are uniquely qualified in our region to discuss your refractive surgery options with you.
Mrs. Kathy Britton
Kathy has been with our office since October 2005 and has been a great asset. Currently, Kathy is responsible for the day to day operations of both our front office, and our dispensary. Kathy is a Telford native, and we are excited to have her as part of our family at the eye clinic. She is happily married and the mother of two active boys.
